When was the last time you went to your local bike shop, and Why?
I was down at my LBS today, because one of my plastic pedals which came with my bike needed replacing (it lasted 3 years, which wasn't too bad going). So, brought myself a new set of alloy pedals, got the guys to change over my toe-clips & pump up the tyres a bit. They are a friendly sort down there & are always up for some bike-chat.

About a week ago. Had to buy a new pair of bike shoes. The sole on the old ones broke in half. Also had to get some replacement SPD cleats.
As with most bike shops, they are friendly and helpful.
