The most important thing is to get the right paddle craft for your purpose - recreation or competition verses plastic or fibreglass.
If you want a recreational craft you may want to consider the plastic ski, they are a great ocean going craft and can be quite fast depending on which model you choose. Generally, the wider the craft the more stable it is. Modern designs these days are quite fast without losing their stability.
If you want to participate in some of the extreme races, you have the choice of the plastic craft verses the fibreglass. Fibreglass skis are lightweight and fast, you trade off with less stability and durability, but for the more experienced paddler this is not a problem.
In competitions, the plastic paddle craft has its advantages over the fibreglass as it is very robust. This tends to make the craft heavier than its fibreglass counterpart and considerably slower. Another thing to consider is the weight of the craft and how you are going to carry it around. Roof racks are the general option, this means you will have to be able to pick the craft up and raise it above your shoulders to place it on the roof racks. Keep this in mind when purchasing.

The VW W12 used to be a concept vehicle for several years until it reached full production in 2004. It is the ultimate race car from the VW Company itself which was unveiled during the 35th Motor Show in Tokyo. The car has a maximum speed of 350km/h and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. At this rate, it is the next fastest car to Bugatti Veyron which can achieve a max speed of more than 400km/h. For you to know, Bugatti is also a sub-company of Volkswagen. Of course Veyron is far way more expensive compared to W12 but they only have a 50km/h difference in terms of maximum speed with thousands of dollars gap in their price tags. W12 is more practical to buy because the Veyron simply has way too much of everything. The W12 is also more user-friendly if you will just check its chilton auto repair manual.
The Volkswagen is a lightweight sports car at 1200 kg. To power it, the W12 has a mid-mounted six liter 12 cylinder engine that produces 600 horsepower at only 7000 rpm. To prove that the given maximum speed and power of VW W12 are all accurate, a prototype was brought to a very famous race track in Nardo, Italy. Awesomely, it had set a world record for mileage achieved in 24 hours. The W12 prototype version was able to cover 7,085.7 km (4,403 miles) at a speed averaging 295.24 km/h beating the previous record with a gap of 12 km/h (7.5 mph).
The interesting features of W12 as seen in its Chevrolet Repair Manual include two wing doors that open to the front as well as a roof made of glass that extends from the windscreen above the engine compartment where the engine is located. The engine is a 12cylinder type composed of two very thin V6 four-valve engines that has a 72 degrees angle configuration. In addition, there is a joint crankshaft in the engine having seven primary bearings to create V-V arrangement. The engine weighs only 239 kg which is considerably light in its class. It is technically a two-seater coupe that has a design that resembles those of the VW top-class models in the future. The red painted VW W12 looks similar to Ferrari Enzo but it is way more advanced in all aspects of course. The interior of the vehicle is very luxurious that you can find leather seat cover, aluminium, and carbon fibre. Other stunning features are the air-conditioning system, navigation system, and on board computer and telephone that can all be adjusted and controlled through a colour display located in the centre of the dash panel.
In addition to the abovementioned characteristics, the Volkswagen W12 is also very reliable on the road because it has a state of the art safety system and excellent driving performance. However, not anyone can drive this car. In order to unleash the full potential of the car, drivers with guts are greatly needed.

I know Acura are awesome quality cars. Does this seem like a good deal or should I spend thousands more on a newer year?
This is a pretty good deal. You could probably find a lot of TL's with that mileage around that price, so I think it's good. If you can afford a new one, go ahead. It wont be too different besides the wheels and lights.
