Regardless of the martial art you practice these ten exercises will undoubtedly help to make you a force to be reckoned with. So without any delay let's take a look at the exercises that will change you from a mere mortal to a God of war.
First off is the Dive bomber push up. Starting from a regular push up position push your rear up in the air, from there bring your head towards the ground and then straight up arching your back and pushing your hips forward. Then return the way you can by bringing your head back down and your rear in the air again.
This exercise will work not just your chest like regular push ups will but your shoulders and legs and are a lot more difficult than standard push ups.
Next is the Burpee, this exercise combines a push up with a squat. After you perform the push up position with your arms fully extended you bring your knees to your chest and plant your feet on the ground, you then push up with your legs until you are completely standing. From there you lower yourself again by squatting down and kick your legs back to put yourself in push up position again where you perform another push up and repeat the process.
For a more hardcore version of this after you have brought yourself to standing position try kicking your legs back and falling into the push up position. This is a lot harder and applies more impact to the exercise.
Third is the bear crawl. This exercise is just what it sounds like, you basically crawl n your hands and feet as fast as you can. Once you are used to performing this then it's time to amp it up and perform it up a hill. But beware this is a hardcore exercise that will have you breathing heavy and should only be attempted once you can comfortably perform bear crawls for several intervals of at least 30 seconds.
This brings us to number four, hill sprints. Basically what it sounds like, you sprint uphill for 20-30 seconds at a time. Again this needs to be worked up to. And again, it's performed in intervals.
Five is pull ups. Although you will need a bar to hang from to perform this exercise, this is one of the best back exercises around. You can vary grips from close parallel grip to far apart grip.
Six is dips. Again you will need bars to perform this exercise but it's one of the best chest and tricep exercises.
Seventh is rope jumping. There is a reason why this was always popular with boxers as the cardio workout cannot be beat.
Eighth is plyometrics. These involve both jumping and push ups into the air, that is with your hands leaving the ground and are excellent for explosive power and speed.
Ninth is stretching, it should go without saying that the more flexible you are the less likely your are to get injured and can perform more fighting techniques. Every martial art from wrestling to kickboxing requires some flexibility with the more the better.
And tenth, weighted crunches. By placing a weight such as a dumbbell at around your head level you can increase the level of resistance and develop abs of steel.
There you have it, just one last word of caution, you should always see a physician before starting any exercise program and seek proper instruction in performing these exercises to prevent injuries.

Workout Without Weights for a Strong and Muscular Body
Most people think that the only way to achieve an effective and thorough workout is to use weights while training or exercising. Although weights do have a place in the world of physical fitness, there is no book that says a person absolutely has to use weights in order to build strength, stamina, or even a decent-looking body.
Some people are simply too busy to fit in a drive to the gym and a weightlifting or exercise workout. Other people simply cannot afford the cost of a gym membership or the expense of exercise equipment.
There is hope though - and this is where the idea of a workout without weights can really prove to be helpful. With a little creativity and some modification of everyday activities, even the busiest person can find the time for an effective workout.
Life Without The Gym
Believe it or not, there actually was a period of time in human history when gyms did not exist. Yes, it's true. What in the world did people do to get their daily exercise before there was Gold's or Bally's or Bowflex? People found a way.
Whether it meant lifting heavy rocks and objects, climbing mountains, or running marathons, people found a way to exercise. In ancient Egypt, people lifted bags of sand to keep in shape, while the Greeks lifted (and threw) heavy rocks and objects as part of training and exercise regimens.
What's the bottom line? You don't need weights or fancy equipment to get an effective, whole-body workout.
Ways To Workout Without Weights
If you're looking to workout without weights, there are many options for you to explore which will ensure you of an excellent workout.
Knee Bends (Squats) - Viewed as essentially a squat without weights, the goal here is to develop the muscles of the thighs and glutes. This exercise can be done by grabbing on to anything that will provide stability and support (a table, a sink, or a desk).
With the feet set apart about shoulder width, with a firm grasp of the supporting object, and with the feet flat on the ground, the individual simply lowers him or her self until the butt is as close to the ground as possible.
Calf Raises - This exercise can be done by simply locating a raised area such as a stair or step. If neither one is available, find an object such as a book which will allow you to raise yourself off the ground.
With the toes on the edge of the object (stair, step, or book), lower the heels of your feet, then lift yourself up on your toes to complete one repetition.
Pull Ups - This one presents a little bit more of a problem, since it does require the use of a pull up bar or some object that you can pull yourself up on (i.e. a jungle gym at a school or park, or even the section of a doorway that sticks out). Upon finding the right spot, grip the bar or doorway using an underhand grip and allow your body to hang down.
Slowly pull yourself up until your chest reaches the level of the bar.
Push Ups - The original and still the best, push ups represent the best way to workout without weights. Not only do they train the arms and chest, but they also provide a decent workout for the abs, shoulders, and legs. Simply place the hands about shoulder width apart, stretch the legs and feet out, and keep your back straight.
Bend at the elbows to lower your body, then push down on the ground to lift it back up.
Crunches - Nothing works the abs like a few sets of crunches. They don't require special equipment or weights, and can be done anywhere where there is room. Lie on your back with your legs bent. Lift the shoulders off of the ground and crunch the abdominals. Only lift the body up until the shoulders are off of the ground - any higher and you run the risk of injuring your back.

what colour grips should i get on my fixie?
it is a dark blue peugeot and it has black bars
welll with dark blue and black pretty much any color will work, but i agree something brighter would be good as an accent. whaat owould look best is if you go and get other parts to match that accent that your grips bring out. you can get a variety of colored chains via kmc thatll work for any single speed/fixed applications, just for an example.
now that being said, if you realy wanna be custom i say forget grips, and go with standard bar tape for your flat bar. you can over lap the wrapping if you like it to feel thick like grips, and you can easily get it in any color. i recommend fizik. itll give an extra sleek look that you cant get from regular cork bar tape and its usually associated with super high end bikes, although fixik tape itslef costs the same as any other tape.
