The first locks that have been used were simple bolts and bars. For example you could lock a door behind you, with putting a bar on it. With the upcoming urban lifestyle of the ancient Romans, the first real locks with keys were developed. It is also possible that the Hellenes already had locks, but there are not many archaeological finds of that time. Today you can find many different kinds of locks for almost every purpose and device. For example there are bicycle, cylinder, combination, magnetic, hitch, wheel locks or the classic padlock.
The last one is a very practical one, as it is portable, and you can use it for many purposes. For example you can lock up the zippers of your backpack or carrying case, chests, doors or garden fences. It's only made out of three parts, what makes it en pretty easy lock: the body, a U-Steel and the locking mechanism, which is most often closed and opened with a key. But there are also Padlocks with combination mechanisms.
On bicycle locks you find more often a combination mechanism, so you just have to remember the right code, instead of carrying the keys all the time, which can easily get lost. Bicycle locks are either cable or U-locks. The U-locks are considered to be more safe, because it is harder to destroy them with a pincer. Anyway when a thief wants to steal your bike, and has the right tools and enough time, he will be able to steal it, no matter what locks you put on it. You can only make it less attractive for thieves to steal your bike. If there is one bike locked and one unlocked, they will probably take the unlocked one. Another suggestion to make your bike more unattractive to steal, is to take its saddle with you when you leave it unattended.
A pretty new sort of lock is the laptop lock. Because laptops are very valuable objects to steal, you should consider to get protection for it. The most laptops have an area which is made out of heavy steal, where you can put your laptop cable lock in. When someone violently pulls it out, the whole notebook will be destroyed, and that's not what a thief wants, as he probably wants to resell it. But you have to make sure to wrap the cable around a heavy bar or something like this, so that the thief can not easily pull it off.
Another kind of a lock can be used to protect unattended trailers or caravans. Hitch locks or wheel locks. The hitch lock is a small pin made out of steel, which you can put through the coupler receiver hole of your trailer. So no thief can put your trailer on his own cars hitch, and pull it off. The other protection method would be to put wheel locks on the tires. They are heavy U-Steels which prevent the wheels from rolling. They are very hard to destroy and make it nearly impossible for thieves to steal your property. But again, when someone really wants to steal your stuff, he'll be able to do it. With locks you can only make it more unattractive for thieves, but it's still better to try to protect your property than doing nothing.

What Is the Difference In Cheap and Inexpensive? Part 2

However it turns out for you, the moral of this story is to never confuse inexepensive with cheap and cost with price.
When you get home you break it out of the cardboard box and wrapping and begin to assemble this beauty. What looked to be so simple a child could do it, only took you about five and half hours of which about four and half of them were accompanied with language to embarrass a sailor and little Johnny or Suzy was allowed in the house during the time of assembly.
When the sweet purchase was finally handed over to little Johnny or Suzy you breathe a sigh of relief and take the trash to dumpster down the street because you did not have room for it in your garbage can. What you did not notice was the sign saying cheaters would be prosecuted for dumping in a private container.
The guy running the lounge was just coming out to dump a couple of bags of beer cans and bottles and just spotted you driving away in time to get your license number. Forty-three minutes later two gentlemen dressed in blue arrive at your residence to confront you about your deed, which of course you deny.
Just then little Johnny or Suzy rides up on their sweet new bicycle and proudly shows it off to the gentlemen dressed in blue and proudly beams at daddy for putting it all together for them and he has just got back from getting rid of of the big ugly box.
You are issued a citation and a notice to appear in city court in no less than ten days. After taking off half a day to go to court you are fined $180.00 plus court costs $250.00. The cost of your sweet deal is now only $610.98 not counting the cost of your half day in court from lost wages.
After little Johnny or Suzy has ridden the sweet ride for only 28 days the handle bars break. You take them back to the store, because the bicycle is still under warranty for two more days of which they give you a new set of handle bars.
Eighteen days later one of the peddles breaks off. The price of the new peddle is was only $14.79 including tax. A few weeks later the crank bearingd go out. At a cost of $27.99 and another hour and half of cussing they are replaced and within about six weeks you have to purchase a new rear tire and wheel. At which point you toss in the towel and you go shopping again.
Back to the store you go. You purchase bicycle B, which little Johnny or Suzy can ride home without having to load it into to your not so new Kia.
Little Johnny or Suzy and four little brothers and or sisters all rode Bicycle B until they gave it up for their own Kia, of which you had to replace the tires a total of one time at a cost of $23.79. The total cost of Bicycle B is $244.92 plus tax.
The total cost bicycle A was a whopping $653.76, not counting the half day off court, for a total of about 4 months of wear and tear.
Now that is what my wife would call, it only costs a little bit more to go first class and it is the difference between cost and price. The difference in this case, being $56 and change for price and $408.84 difference in cost.
So when you out shopping for anything, consider what the difference in cost vs price may be. It just may be cheaper to opt for the slightly more expensive purchase and go first class.

2:00 am – Small Orange & Fruit Cup (160 calories)
3:00 pm – Fruit Loops (200) (no milk)
4:00 pm - Granola Bar (140)
6:00 pm - Fruit Loops (200) (no milk)
8:00 pm – turkey wrap, chips, banana, raspberry tea
Yesterday's Exercise:
30 minutes on elliptical machine (400 calories).
90 crunches, 80 bicycle crunches.
stretched for about 10 minutes.

You are not eating very well.
Eat within an hour of waking up because your body hasn't had any fuel all night. This will help keep it from thinking it should be in starvation mode or producing too much insulin (both lead to added body fat)
Eat every 3 hours so. It is best to eat lots of small meals. Eat before you get hungry. You don't overeat, and it keeps your body from overproducin insulin. Don't be afraid to snack.
1. the orange and fruit cup was ok for breakfast. instead of the fruit cup, just mix up some fresh fruit. it is less processed and doesn't have added sweeteners. Don't be afriad to eat veggies in the morning. They keep you full. I love this one: spray a bowl with olive oil spray, pour 2-3 egg whites in it, then pour in some chopped up green peppers, mushrooms, and onions (or whatever veggies you like), and microwave for about a minute and a half. Then eat like that or put a piece of fat free cheese with it on some low cal wheat bread.
2. Fruit loops are just plain bad. Don't eat them. They provide no nutrients. Substiture something healthier. Chopped up veggies or fruit. Try to pick foods that still resemble what they look like in nature (e.g fruits, veggies, lean meats). Your body wasn't designed to live on fruit loops:-) For snacks, I like to have an apple with a piece of that soft light laughing cow cheese. Add a couple of almonds if you like.
3. For that 140 calorie granola bar, you could have had about 4 cups of green beans or five cups of broccoli. It's ok for an occasional snack, but try to find a better substitute on some days.
4. The turkey wrap meal was ok, except for the chips. If you must have carbs, try pretzels. You get way for for your calories. I, again, would suggest some fresh fruits and veggies (e.g. cut up some celery and carrots and add a handful of grapes)
Don't trust the calorie counter on the machine. They are usually way off. The ones that are the closests are the ones that you put in age, weight, height, etc. They are still an estimate, though. It depends on your health, body composition, etc. I eat lean and workout often and hard (low body fat, very muscular), so I will burn alot more exercising than someone who is same size but doesn't workout much.
Most importantly, forget about the goal weight! Your body should be whatever weight it functions best at. If you eat healthy and exercise, your body will be the size and shape that will look best on you. Instead, set a goal muscle. Say.....by this time next month, I want to see my quads more defined......in six months, I want killer deltoids.
