Cycling is a one all-time favorite leisure activity that has never run out of fashion. Today the activity is popularly associated with strategized sport and exercise regimes. Any cyclist would want to know how fast he is cycling. There was a time when there was no way a cyclist could find out how fast he or she could ride the bike. A cateye bike computer is a facility available now which helps in informing the rider about how fast he or she has been riding. Besides determining speed of the bike, there are number of additional features that are offered to cyclists these days. Buying one of the latest bikes will definitely be a costly affair but not as compared to the kind of facilities they offer the cyclist.
Getting the cat-eye for speed
There are a number of features which need to be looked into while purchasing a bike with a cateye computer. The best way to shop for them is by going online, as there are a number of retailers offering the product. The main thing is that it should fit your need as well. A wide array of functions is provided by the bike computer. Some of the common functionalities provided are the total distance covered, the maximum speed of the bike, speed at which it is currently moving, distance of the trip, its average speed, elapsed time, facility of the clock, etc.
The most important necessity for you is being able to read the bike computer even when you are riding the bike. If you are not able to read it, it can be pointless having one installed on the handlebar in the first place. Displays will not be adequate enough if the bike computers used are of a brand that is lesser known. Reading the display will get difficult when there is too much glare also, which prevents you from reading the computer output clearly.
Other functionalities provided by bike models of the advanced kind are maximum, average and the current cadence, besides monitoring heart beat rate of the cyclist. Mounting system of Cateye bike computer will depend on the types of handle bars your bike has. The first thing to do is find a location that suits your range of vision best, on your bike. In most cases there is mounting system which is quite universal and could fit almost any stem or the handlebar of any bike.

How To Make The Best Exercise Bike Choice
If you're looking for an exercise machine that will give you a good cardio workout without stressing your joints, then maybe an exercise bike is just what you need. Treadmills are still the most popular exercise machine out there, but not everyone can use a treadmill safely, because of the high impact exercise that it asks you to do. If you have very sensitive joints for any reason, you'll have to try a different means of getting a daily workout.
Elliptical trainers can work well for this purpose, but an exercise bike is also a very fine choice. A lot of people seem to gravitate to exercise bikes, probably because they are familiar with the overall design. And everyone knows that riding a bicycle is good exercise, so it only makes sense that if you can perform the same motions indoors you should be able to get similar health benefits.
So what should you look for when you are shopping for exercise bikes? The first thing to decide is whether you wish to have an upright bike or a recumbent bike. The upright exercise bike looks very similar to a real bicycle, with handlebars, a seat, and pedals underneath. The recumbent exercise bike on the other hand, can be a sort of strange looking contraption, that you actually lay in and pedal with your feet straight out in front of you. Most fitness experts seem to agree that either type of exercise bike will work well for you, it just depends on your personal preference and comfort level as to which bike you should buy. For instance, those with chronic back problems may find the recumbent exercise bike much easier to work with.
When looking over the exercise bike candidates, the same general rule of thumb applies here as it does in other exercise machines. You generally get what you pay for. In other words, most of the really cheap exercise bikes will not hold up well over the long haul. So expect to pay at least $600 to $1000 for a good piece of equipment, and $1500 or more for a really heavy-duty gym quality machine.
It's always a good idea to try out any exercise bike model that interests you in advance in person. See how comfortable it is for you to use as you exercise. Does this seat fit you as it should? Can you adjust the seat level to give you a comfortable travel distance to the pedals?
Other considerations include whether or not that particular model has a heart rate monitor. This is a good piece of equipment to have for almost any exercise machine that you want to use. In fact, some machines are even coming with interactive heart rate monitors that keep an eye on your heart rate level and adjust your workout automatically to help you burn the most calories per session. If you can get an exercise bike with this feature, it can be well worth it.
Also make sure that the display on each model gives you the information that you would really like to have as you workout. Does it keep track of the time that you have been on the machine? Does it show the calories you have burned? Does it display your heart rate level? Does it allow you to adjust the resistance of the machine as you workout?
As you test out each machine, take notes on each model, both its strengths and its weaknesses, and then compile the information after you have looked at a good representation of all exercise bike models available. By keeping the suggestions listed above in mind and doing your homework you should be able to make the best exercise bike choice possible for your needs.

Where can I find an aquarium decoration of a tiny bicycle? Or can I use one that's not made for aquariums?
I've got a little goldfish that I named "Lance Fishstrong," so he needs a tiny bike. Preferably, a race style bike with drop handlebars.
there is this stuff that you can buy (I think its called aquarium silicone) to create a safe ornament, you take the object and 100% coat it with this solution (there are diffent types out there just check you local fish store) and you coat your object in it and it will stop anything harmfull from leaking into the tank. I havent used it myself so you may what to research it a bit first.
Porcelain and ceramic objects are generally considered safe for aquariums, as are fired clay pots or glass decorations. Avoid using metal objects or painted plastic items (unless they are specifically made for aquarium use).
Any object produced to be 'dinnerware safe' will be suited as an aquarium decoration. A dinnerware safe object is one which has been glazed and fired using techniques and substances which will not dissolve under acid conditions. Most developed countries have strict standards regarding the safety of dinnerware pieces. Therefore contemporary tea pots, mugs and other kitchen ceramics are generally safe to use as ornaments (that may not help with a bicycle though)
Plain non glazed ceramic objects such as terracotta pots are universally suitable as aquarium decoration. Just examine carefully to ensure the object is indeed unglazed and not finished in a matte glaze or paint.
Good Luck, oh and I LOVE THE Name... it's cute.
