Martha's Vineyard is a fabulous place to visit, but, if you'd like to stay for a few nights, it can be very expensive compared to other destinations. A great lodging alternative is the Martha's Vineyard Family Campground. Few people know the Vineyard has a campground, so it's somewhat of a "hidden gem".
The campground is located between Vineyard Haven and Edgartown, fairly close to the Steamship Authority ferry terminal in Vineyard Haven. You will need some sort of transportation, a car, taxi, moped, or possibly a bike, to get from the ferry to the campground as it's at least a mile and up a slight grade.
The campground has all the amenities you would expect at a good campground: showers, bathrooms, general store, game and arcade hall, playground, bikes for rent, laundry facilities and even free wi-fi! The store has all sorts of camping supplies such as firewood, flashlights, batteries, towels, breakfast food, smores supplies, games and more. There are comfy, wooden Adirondack chairs on the "porch" on the store and you can hangout there with your laptop and use free wi-fi.
A big hit with the kids is the customized playground. Of course it has swings but it also has forts and climbing towers and a pirate ship. There are lots of picnic tables nearby for the adults and you can get wi-fi access here too!
Options for lodging include tent sites, trailer sites and log cabins. The log cabins are a great deal for the money. They were built about 5-10 years ago and still look brand new. There are two sizes, one room that sleeps about 2-4 and two rooms that sleep 4-6. They have bunk beds, which are fun for the kids, windows for ventilation, refrigerators and electric outlets for all your electronic gadgets. They also have cute front porches and picnic tables, firepits and BBQ grills. You get all of this for about 50-70% less than hotel rooms on the Vineyard.
We stayed at one of the cabins and our kids loved the "outdoor experience". We got firewood and smores supplies at the general store and had some great campfires. Overall, we loved staying in the cabin but there was one drawback. There aren't any bathrooms in the cabins. The public bathrooms are at the store which is about a 100 yard walk from where the cabins are located. This is slightly annoying for adults but almost a "deal breaker" if you have young kids with you and they wake up at night to go to the bathroom. Of course, you might choose to use the woods near your cabin but having to step outside at 2 a.m. may not be your cup of tea. One possible solution might be to bring a camping or boat potty and you could keep it in a corner in the cabin. Campers are generally very friendly so staying at the campground could be a way to meet other travelers and share experiences.

Turn Your Basement Into The Ultimate Man Cave
More than half of home buyers say they want a finished basement, according to a survey by the National Association of Home Builders. Real estate experts agree that adding square footage to your living space will deliver the dollars when it comes time to sell. Create the sanctuary of your dreams and enhance your home value at the same time by renovating your basement into the ultimate guy retreat. Here are the top 10 things you'll need to turn your basement into the ultimate man cave:
1. Finish it: First, finish those cinderblock walls and concrete floor.
2. Get wired: You have to have a big screen TV and music. Getting wired can be as easy as connecting cable to your portable TV and strategically placing a boom box, or as grand as a wall-mounted, high-def, flat screen TV with surround sound.
3. Go wireless: A laptop or desktop is a man-cave must for work and play. But you don't want wires cluttering up your kingdom. If you haven't already done so, install wireless connectivity on the primary computer on the main floor of the house. That way, you can use the Internet in the basement without the expense and inconvenience of a lot of wires.
4. Get "guy" with the décor: Nothing says "This space belongs to a guy" like sports décor. Frame and hang your old high school or college jersey. Mount that foul ball you caught in the bottom of the ninth. Put up a wallpaper mural of your favorite sport.
5. Drink up: A wet bar is every guy's dream, but you can also cool off effectively and economically with a small refrigerator or even a portable wine keeper.
6. Snack attack: The guys are going to work up appetites playing friendly poker and it could get ugly if you don't have any snacks on hand. Be sure to include space for snack storage in your design, whether it's a pantry or some cabinets.
7. Sit on it: You'll need the armchair of your dreams in order to be an armchair warrior. Make sure there's some comfy, durable seating for your buddies.
8. Work it out: Portable treadmills and exercise bikes are better than ever and easy to store. Set aside a corner of your man room for the manliest activity of all – exercise.
9. Work on it: If you're a doer rather than an observer, you'll want a well-equipped workbench.
10. Sit on it: It's the ultimate man room upgrade – your own private bath!

Performance Question on the Kat 600 and Ducati Monster 696?
Alright I have a 2006 Katana 600. It's comfy (upright and nice seat), it's fun but it's kinda heavy and not the most flick-able bike in the world. I am also ready for something that's going to go a bit faster.
I love the look of the Ducati it's very nice to look at, very light but to be honest looking at the specs it actually seems slower then the Katana. Now I know it's lighter but it's hp and torque are lower.
I this truly the case, should I be looking at the monster 1100. I really was disappointed at the spec's of the Ducati I mean It's a bigger engine and newer yet still slower... BOO.
well your talking and in line 4 cyl to a v-twin BOO to you for not knowing there is a big power difference between the two think of it as h-d big cc v twin not alot of power 95 cu in to say a sport bike 600 cc which is like 34 cu in the 600 will beat it every day different bikes are for different things
