Additional features include: an adjustable rear wheel strap, compatibility with wheelbases up to 48 inches and tire widths up to 2.6 inches and more. The world's best-selling fork mount carrier. View larger. The Best-selling Fork Mount Carrier The Thule 517 Peloton Fork Mount Rooftop Bicycle Carrier is the world's number-one selling fork mount, and it just got a make over. From road bikes, to disc brakes and fat tires, the Peloton is up to the challenge. The Peloton fork-mount rooftop bike carrier fits all disc and suspension combinations with standard 9mm axles. This bike carrier has a dual-lock design that locks both the bike to the carrier, and the carrier to your rooftop rack. The wheel tray fits tires up to 2.6 inches wide with high-profile rims, and carries bicycles with wheelbases up to 48 inches. This system fits both Thule and Yakima load bars, and is Thule One-Key system compatible so you can easily keep it locked and secure without a bunch of extra keys. Please note, locks are not included. Installation and Use The Peloton comes nearly fully assembled, requiring only the included hex wrench and your own two hands to easily assemble in little time. Installation begins with the combined Peloton head assembly / wheel tray which provide the base for securing a bike's forks (head assembly) and a stable mounting platform for you back tire (wheel tray). Following some simple preassembly to these components, users have just to attach the head section and wheel tray to their rack's load bar with the hex wrench and included knobs as well as the included mounting plates and other hardware that allows for square or rounded cross bars. The Peloton is now ready for your bike. Clamp with adjustment dial provides the perfect hold for fork dropouts. View larger. Corrosion resistant double-wall aluminum tray provides maximum strength and rigidity. View larger. To load your bike remove the front wheel and stow it in your vehicle. Next, open the head assembly cover/clamp exposing the pressure dial. Loosening and/or tightening this dial creates initial space along the skewer running through the head assembly that your front fork's dropouts connect to. Now, place your bike's fork dropouts onto the skewer ends evenly on both sides. Adjust the pressure dial to ensure a firm, but not overly tight hold on your dropouts, then close the cover/clamp partially. Correct clamping pressure occurs automatically when half way down the cover/clamp's arc you feel resistance. If you feel this, everything should be aligned correctly and you can fully close the cover/clamp. If not, repeat for the best results. At this point Peloton owners who have opted for a One-Key lock, sold separately and installed into the top of the head assembly, can lock their bike to the carrier and the carrier to the rack simultaneously. A ratcheting wheel strap is provided to secure the rear wheel to the wheel tray and includes an adapter for use with road bike wheels. To remove your bike simply remove the wheel strap you installed, unlock the lock on the head assembly (if installed), lift the cover/clamp and remove your bike. Key Features Versatile design fits most disc brake and suspension combinations with standard 9mm axles. Ratcheting wheel strap quickly secures back wheel to tray. Corrosion resistant double-wall aluminum tray provides maximum strength and rigidity. Carries bikes with wheelbases up to 48 inches and tire widths up to 2.6 inches. It wasn't long before he added other practical items to the company's portfolio. By the 1960s, the company began to concentrate on car-related products, including its first roof rack. The Thulin family sold Thule to the publicly listed company Eldon in 1979, and it has continued to grow both organically and through acquisitions ever since. The Thule Group is a world leader in providing transport solutions for an active life. |

Cannondale 700- Your Complete Review
If you are in the market for a new Cannondale 700, you may want to know that it has several emanations, each with its own features that sets it apart from the rest. Take a look at how each is welcomed by users to help you in deciding which one would fit your cycling needs.
1. Cannondale Raven 700- this beauty’s favourite trail is the South Kettle, it is light with a low stand over disc brake ready and perfect for quick steering. A very good platform to start and it comes in a hot blue hue.
2. Cannondale Multisport 700- Some of the many strengths of this bike is its CAAD5 tubing, tri specific geometry, aero carbon fiber fork, and shock absorbing seats. It is a great bike if you are looking to join a triathlon or any major cycling event because of its durability.
3. Cannondale Jekyll 700- This bike has an adjustable geometry which is perfect for all kinds of biking. It is also considered as one of the most versatile mountain bikes available in the market today. The suspension on this bike would make you feel like Evel Knievel.
4. Cannondale Super V 700 SX- This boy has great fork, and has a rock solid performance when it comes to speed. It can certainly get the job done on single track but you have to watch out for some mechanical flaws which may require you to upgrade for better results on the road.
5. Cannondale Road Warrior 700 HeadShock- This bad boy is great for commuting through almost impassable roads but you may want to change the pedals it comes with to achieve better biking results.

road bike with disk brakes?
hi, could i fit my road bike with disk brakes as auxillery brakes for when in aero bar position, - a separate brake - a third brake with a third lever and third cable, - is this possible?
it is possible to have brakes on your aero bars. you can splice the brake cable or buy a cable that is already seperated to run to an extra brake cable. im pretty sure they do not make disk brakes for road bikes so you can not do that
