If you're into mountain biking then you'll know that Scotland - and it's numerous mountain biking centres - is one of the world's best destinations. Here you'll find a wealth of challenging trails at tailor-made mountain bike centres, as well as mile upon mile of fantastic cross country routes.
And if you're looking for a great way to travel with your mountain bike then why not hire a campervan? Riders are notorious for wanting to spend as many hours as possible out on the trails and so they often look for accommodation that is close to the top mountain bike centres. Self-catering is also a popular option.
A campervan offers the flexibility of transport AND accommodation and it's possible to park or wild camp very close to many of Scotland's best cycling centres.
Most campervan hire companies will also hire out a bike rack so that people and bikes can easily travel to their chosen destination.
With a campervan you can park up, eat, sleep and then spend all day mountain biking. If this sounds just perfect for you then check out the five mountain biking hot spots suggested here.
Five great campervan spots for mountain biking junkies
Highland Wildcat Trails, Golspie, Sutherland
What's here?: This centre boasts fantastic views and Scotland's longest purpose-built continual single track descent at 7km long. There is also almost 14km of black trail and for those with a little less energy and experience the blue route won't disappoint.
Where to campervan?: You'll find several lovely spots for wild campervanning just past the golf course along the minor road towards Littleferry. For a couple of recommended campsites, head to Brora for Dalchalm Caravan Park.
Glentress, near Peebles
What's here?: This is Scotland's premier mountain biking centre. The original of the Scottish Borders 7Stanes centre, Glentress offers a trail for every ability but for the MTB junkie this is biking heaven. You'll find more than 20km of red route and 30km of black route. There's also a fab freeride park and skills area.
Where to campervan?: It's possible to park up overnight in the Buzzard's Nest car park at Glentress. If you're asked to move on we'd suggest you do, but if you're nice and quiet then it's likely you'll not be noticed. There are also a few wild camping spots along the B709, north from Innerleithen towards the Moorfoot Hills. For good campsites try Tweedside Caravan Park in Innerleithen or Crossburn Caravan Site in Peebles.
Nevis Range, near Fort William:
What's here?: This centre is famed for hosting the annual Mountain Bike World Cup. Ride the very challenging downhill track and some fabulous cross-country style routes.
Where to campervan?: It's possible to wild camp in the upper parts of Glen Nevis, but be very discreet. The North Face car park in Torlundy is also a good spot. Try Glen Nevis Caravan and camping site, too.
Dalbeattie, near Dumfries
What's here?: Another of the7stanes centres located in the Scottish Borders, Dalbeattie has 25km of red route and some fantastic black graded sections. Don't miss the infamous Slab!
Where to campervan?: There are some great spots on the minor road that links the B793 to the A710. For official campsites head to Kippford Holiday Park or Sandyhills.
Glen Sligachan, Isle of Skye
What's here?: This is remote riding at its best! Glen Sligachan cuts a glaciated route through SE Skye offering a fantastic route between the Black and Red Cuillin. At 45km it's no small undertaking and only the most experience riders should try this one.
Where to campervan?: The Sligachan Campsite is ideally located at the head of Loch Sligachan. The site offers awesome scenery, fantastic walks and a pub/hotel that is so close that it feels as though it's an integral part of the campsite.

Online Shopping For Hello Kitty Bike
Hello Kitty has swooned the hearts of girls of all ages the world over. Hello Kitty themed accessories range from bags, bangles, books, stickers, toys, clothes, almost everything you can think of and now even a Hello Kitty themed bicycle. The Hello Kitty themed bikes have become such a rage that they have single-handedly sky-rocketed the annual sales at UK retailers such Halfords.
The bike is obviously pink and has curves at the right places. The seat is padded, large and comfortable. It has white colored cushioning with a picture of Hello Kitty. The bell with the Hello Kitty sticker has become a rage in itself and has been a hot-selling item. Bike enthusiasts and girls of all ages have been attaching the Hello Kitty bell on their own bikes. The bike's color combination is a perfect mix of white and pink. Even the black tires have Hello Kitty grooves on them.
The smallest size for the youngest girls starts at 3-4 years old – the Ballet Cruiser. It comes with training wheels. The next size is for 4-5 year olds - the Ballet. There are a lot of options for the age group of 8-11 year olds – Ballet MTB, Cruise Flower, Ballet Cruiser and Cruise. For adults there is the Hello Kitty Cruise bike and its variant the Hello Kitty Cruise Flower bike. There is a Hello Kitty themed bike for even the tough fitness enthusiast. Because even a tough fitness enthusiast girl has a little Hello Kitty fan hiding inside.
The Hello Kitty ‘Cruise' bike is of standard size for riding by adolescents but a smaller kid-sized bike is also available on the market. Nothing would bring glee on the face of a little girl than seeing a brand new pink Hello Kitty bicycle gifted to them. The joy it provides might be the equivalent of a little boy getting the latest gaming console. Or for that matter, the joy of this gift might compete with the joy a woman feels upon wearing her wedding gown.
Then there is a medium sized version for riding by 6-8 year olds, which has the same colors, a basket in the front and a bag at the side. The beauty of the bike doesn't come at the expense of safety and the frame is made from hi-tensile steel. The designers have installed pink mudguards to protect the children's clothes knowing full well that kids don't think twice about venturing into muddy roads or puddles. The Hello Kitty bell is a standard attachment in this version too. The saddle is decorated with Hello Kitty designs.
The children size versions even have a doll-carrier at the back and a removable purse bag at the front. Safety is ensured with coaster brakes and a low frame so that kids can get on and off the bike easily. The tire tubes are oversized to ensure further safety. Hello Kitty graphics are inserted at every available space, because kids just can't seem to have enough of the cute kitty. The bike is easily assemble-able.

I need some good answers for a bicycle i just bought.?
Hey I just purchased a Mongoose XR200 blue/black 26" mountain bicycle yes from Walmart,Nothing wrong with the mongoose or many bicycles from there their just not assembled like they should be so it takes a person that knows a little on how to so i got it.Found out the handle bars do not rise an I am 6'2 i need the handle bars raised,It's a newer bicycle so newer headset/handle bars Spring Fork Shocks.Should i take it back an exchange it for the Schwin MTB i liked,Or can i possibly change the handlebars? Thanks.
Take it back and don't get the Schwinn bike either it will be too small also. Any of the Walmart and other big box stores will have a one size fits all bike bike meaning they will be too small for you. The mongoose and Schwinn bikes they sell at Walmart are junk the good ones are only sold at the bike shops. The good duel suspension bikes start at $900. Go to the local bike shop in your area and look at a hard tail bike for around $250 to $400 it's the only way you are going to get a bike that will fit.
If you know how to set up a bike and tune it this one may be a good choice.
