Irregardless of whether you're a serious Pro ATV racer or your average kid ATV trail rider, if you actively ride, chances are, you've broken your ATV's axle before. Even for kids and especially youths, having the ATV axle bend or break is a pretty common thing, hence, we always a have a few of these parts locked up in the garage, just in case. It's a hassle to break it and then try to find it. So, if you actively ride your ATV and is prone to trying new tricks to impress gals in your neighborhood, then you should get a couple of spare ATV axles for those unfortunate moments. It's pretty common for kids to break their axles too especially the inexperienced ones because they don't completely know how to control their ATVs properly.
The way you install an ATV axle differs from ATV to ATV...it depends on the make and model of the ATV. However, if you take the popular Honda, this might be a general idea on how to install the ATV axle on it.
If you're looking to purchase ATV axles online, try doing a simple search on http://www.google.com for 'ATV parts' or 'ATV axle parts'. We're sure you'll find some pretty reliable ATV part retailers out there.
The first thing you'll need to do is to put your ATV up on a stand and then remove all the tires. Remember to gather all the tools you need in order to install your ATV axle with you before you start. You don't want to remove all the parts and then discover you can't find a particular tool...and you'll end up with a taken-apart ATV awaiting further action until the needed tool is found! Usually, the next ATV part to come off will be the brake caliper - remove it and place it in a safe place.
Then work on removing the large hub nut next. Actually, on most Honda ATVs, you'll get ATV two hub nuts...one main nut and the other is the retaining nut. From the ATV's nut side, push the axle through the swingarm. This can be a challenge even for big blokes like us so, you might need some extra help here. Use of a rubber mallet will help tremendously. Remove the retaining clip and remove the ATV's hub nut off the axle...one at a time, please.
Now, the removal part is done. Get the new ATV axle ready and place it through the side where the ATV sprocket is. And since taking it out was a little tough, did you think it was going to be easy getting it in? Nnnaaahhh.... Anyway, thank goodness for the invention of the rubber mallet. Most new ATV axles will come with new sprockets, so, if that is the case, then you can remove and store or throw away the old ATV sprockets.
From here, you can reverse what you did by installing the ATV sprocket back in, then the rotor hub, then the ATV's brake caliper. This is followed by you sliding in the ATV's hub and then the stock hub nut. Remember to tighten the hub nut and the axle nuts before running the ATV. And then one more thing and you're done with it - insert new cotter pins and Viola....you've replaced your ATV's axle!

Taking Care of your Mercedes-benz Brake System
The Mercedes master cylinder that is usually used for Mercedes vehicles are manufactured by Girling, ATE, and Bendix. These master cylinders utilized two or three-chamber reservoirs, a level sensor contact built into each chamber. In times when brake fluid level is low or when there is pressure differential between two brake circuits caused by loss of fluid in either circuit, a warning light is activated.
The series 190, 420, and 500 make use of floating type front disc brake calipers while the other Benz models especially those with parking brakes and are cable actuated in rear brake rotor calipers utilizes non-floating type. All Mercedes cars have brake pad wear indicators and differential pressure warning indicator. The 420 and 500 series have inner pads only while the Anti-Lock Brake System is offered as a standard feature on the 420SEL, 300 and 560 series and optional for the 190 series. For the diesel models a vacuum pump is incorporated to provide vacuum to the power brake unit.
Adjusting Pedal Height
The height of the pedal measured from pedal pad to pedal stop should be 150mm. To get the correct pedal height adjust the loosen lock nuts and turn stop light switch afterwards tighten lock nuts and pedal free play 5-15 mm.
Above the brake pedal is the stoplight switch, loosen lock nuts and adjust switch in such a way that the contact button extends 6-8mm and then afterwards tighten lock nuts.
Parking Brake
1. Before raising the vehicle it is best to remove only one lug bolt at each rear wheel.
2. Try to rotate wheel until lug bolt hole is positioned over parking brake adjuster at an angle of 45 degrees forward for diagonal swing axle and 90 degrees forward for diagonal swing axle with starting torque compensation. And remember that parking brake must be adjusted if the brake pedal can be depressed by more than 2 steps of 6 without any braking effect. Try not to try to alter screw on parking brake intermediate lever since these screws are for balancing cable lengths only.
3. using a screwdriver inserted through the lug bolt hole, hand turn the adjuster until rear wheel can no longer be turned, back off the adjuster until it can be turned without the dragging the wheel.
Checking the Brake Warning Light
1. On the dash is mounted a dual warning light, try to turn the ignition on. Normally you will see a light glowing once parking brake lever is pulled tone notch and goes off when brake lever is full released.
2. To test the circuit warning sensor, again turn on the ignition, release the parking brake and make sure that the light is off. Open the bleeder screw on one wheel and depress brake pedal and the light should light up.
3. Close the bleeder screw, refill the brake fluid and bleed system. Make sure also that light goes out after testing and if the light didn’t turn off then the differential pressure pin of the Mercedes brake master cylinder should be reset.

What size socket/ring spanner fits on the 2 rear caliper brake pad pins on a Harley Lowrider 03?
I think it may be a 9/32" Bi-Hex or Spline socket. Is there a difference between the two? As trying to find a spline socket that size is nigh on impossible.
If you are talking about the two pins that hold the pads in the caliper the head is a 1/4" 12 point. I just changed my pads yesterday and had a bear of a time finding a 12 point socket for those pins.
1993 Chevrolet Lumina Z34 from North America - Comments
To the Z34 owners with the high idle problems. I had the same thing happen to my 93. I would check all your vacuum lines, not just the rubber lines, but the plastic tubing also. I had a cracked plastic line that drove me nuts until I found it.
