Convince my parents to set up Cable Modem in my room?
The Cable Modem + Router are downstairs in my house, and everything that requires internet is upstairs ( Xbox 360, 2 PCs) And the only thing downstairs is my parents computer ( A very powerful Mac, with nice connectivity) My parents know absolutely nothing about computers and internet. So what is an easy way to convince them for me to take the modem and set up in my room? (I don't want to take without permission)
I have a phone jack in my room so I can connect the phone into the Modem with no problems.

I already have a wireless router... I read only 1 bar from my router set up downstairs. I want to be directly connected to internet.
Get a decent wireless router, that will do the job fine.
