The specialized mountain bikes are the ones, which are specially customized to meet the requirements of the rider. The bikes have a fundamental version, with specially customized parts and accessories. These specialized parts turn the bike even more powerful. The specialization brings more comfort to the riders, resulting in their ultimate satisfaction.
You can purchase a specialized mountain bike from a dealer or can customize it yourself by assimilating different parts. This would be possible if you are an experienced biker and is acquainted with the intricacies. However, if you are a beginner, then a basic mountain bike model without customization would be sufficient. The more the knowledge grows, the more you would be confident in using different parts all by yourself.
A specialized mountain bike is manufactured with added and better parts; the look gets improved and even more fascinating. In order to customize your own bike, you can add new paddles, brakes, gears and handlebars. You can even change the frame, suspension system or tires. The color of the bikes may also be changed, to suit your taste. However, if you are more interested in purchasing the mountain bike, then you must have the idea what parts are needed to make your ride safe and enjoyable. There is no limit to the amount you may pay for customizing your bike. However, you should be quite particular about your budget, and must keep your expenditure under control.
Processes for customization
1.Customization can be done by getting new handlebars that better suit your mountain bikes.
2.Do not run after spending too much money on buying new parts. Use a bit of intelligence in customizing your bike, and make it powerful and worthy.
3.The new parts that you will purchase, should match the bike you have.
4.You should contact the manufacturer to be in the safe side, and must check the return and exchange policies of the online and offline exchanges.
5.There is huge number of models available in the market. However, you must discreetly choose the model you exactly want.
The way to specialize bikes
There are many processes to specialize bikes. The specialization would depend on your choice of bikes, and the amount you are willing to pay. Sometimes, only the new frames cause a makeover to the bikes. A large majority want specialized, ultra smooth suspension seat posts or fully adjustable handlebars. There are specialized tires, suiting different terrains.
Disadvantages of specialization
There are some disadvantages of specialization as well. Specialization does not always serve you in the way you should. You would not know, whether you are the only person with the specialized bike or not. Only a branded manufacturer can give you the guarantee.
Thus, a specialized mountain bike can bring you full satisfaction, if it is chosen rightly.

How to give your bike an annual overhaul correctly?
Do you yearn to ride your bike in the middle of those cold winter months? Do the next best thing and become reacquainted with your bike by giving it an annual overhaul:
- Deep-clean the chain. Soak the chain in a environmentally safe degreaser to get a deep clean in between the links, rollers, and pins.
- True the wheels. All those bumps over the course of the year are going to affect the tension of your spokes and, as a result, your wheel alignment. Take the time to bring it back into true.
- Replace cables and the housing. Inspects your cables and the housing in which they run. If you notice any kinks, rusting, fraying, or a buildup of dirt and grime, it's probably time to install new ones.
- Overhaul the hubs. Overhauling the hubs annually is especially important if you have traditional hubs with loose bearings. If you have sealed bearings, you probably can go a few years.
- Overhaul the headset. Yearly maintenance is a good time to inspect, clean, adjust, and overhaul the headset.
- Overhaul the pedals. Pedals are another component that utilizes bearings. As with the hubs, if you want them to continue spinning smoothly, give them an overhaul.
- Overhaul the bottom bracket. The bottom bracket is the center of your drivetrain. All the revolutions of the bottom bracket add up over the course of a year, so do your bike a favor and overhaul or replace the bottom bracket.
- Clean the rear derailleur. The focus here is on removing the derailleur so that you can clean the dirt where it builds up most, on the two jockey wheels.
- Replace the brake pads. Keep an extra set at home. They're cheap and easy to install, and when you install a fresh pair, they give you peace of mind.
- Replace the handlebar grips or tape. Need to add a little pizzazz to your bike after a long year of riding? Inject some color and life as well as some comfort for your hands by replacing the handlebar tape or grips.
- Wax the frame. If you take apart your bike for the annual overhaul, take advantage of easy access to a clean frame and give your bike a good waxing.
- Check your accessories. Don't make the mistake of discovering that you're missing an important accessory — like a patch kit, tool, or extra batteries for your light — when you have an emergency. Take a quick look at your accessories and confirm that everything is there.

Tennis Racquet Grip Tape on Bike Handlebars?
Hi,
I'm looking for some new grip tape for my road bike's handlebars. My old grip was quite bland and I was looking for some change. I was looking for some neon-colored tape, but couldn't find any. I did find, however, neon-colored tennis racquet grip tape, and I was wondering if I could use that as a substitute? Or if anyone knows where I could find actual neon-colored bike grip tape, that would be great also!
I don't see why you couldn't use tennis racquet tape. Also, you should be able to find about any color tape you want on ebay. I recently bought some bright neon orange tape. Be warned though, it didn't take too much sweat and dust to make it look pretty dingy.
