upgrading brake-sets on older roadbike?
I want to upgrade the brake-set on my older model roadbike from Dia-Compe single pivot to Shimano 600 dual pivot. Does the fact that the cable pulls are on opposite sides (Dia-compe right side - 600 left side) make any difference? Does single pivot to dual pivot make any difference?
The cable pull locations only make a difference to the length of cable and housing you have now.
Simple. If it isn't long enough to to fit, change the cables. If you are installing new brakes why not install new cables, too?
