I Love Lucy - The Complete Fifth Season List Price: $29.98 Sale Price: $18.64 |
|
All 26 episodes from the fifth season--including "Lucy Visits Grauman's," "Lucy and John Wayne," "Bon Voyage," "Lucy's Italian Movie," and "Return Home from Europe"--are featured in a four-disc set. 11 1/3 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono; deleted scenes; radio shows; more. **26 episodes on 4 discs. 11 1/3 hrs.** I Love Lucy: The Complete Fifth Season finds Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball) making an international mess out of husband Ricky's globe-trotting tour as an entertainer. Beginning with "Lucy Visits Grauman's" and "Lucy and John Wayne," the impulsive redhead risks Ricky's sanity in Hollywood by stealing a cement slab, from the famous entrance to Grauman's Chinese Theater, that contains the imprint of John Wayne's footprints and signature. In the tradition of superstars playing themselves on I Love Lucy, an exasperated (and very funny) Wayne gets into the act over and over and over again, making new imprints on multiple slabs because Lucy keeps messing up the results. After more shenanigans in Los Angeles (Lucy attends a ritzy party with a dummy substituting for her unavailable husband) and a disastrous train ride home, it's time to jeopardize Ricky's success during an interview show that ends disastrously. Lucy's fifth season travel theme continues when Ricky and his band are booked on a European tour that does not include his wife or the Mertzes. Of course, that doesn't stop the determined Lucy (or Ethel), who schemes her way into Ricky's plans, only to have a number of snafus arise as she tries to leave the country. In the I Love Lucy tradition, entire episodes are written around such simple matters as trying to get a passport, or helping with Fred's fear of getting seasick while traveling. All this show's stars really need is a ridiculous, open-ended situation to exploit, and the comedy flows from there. "Bon Voyage" is a particularly funny episode in which Lucy gets left behind by the European-bound ship carrying Ricky and the others, and she has to find a way to get back aboard. The hilarious "Lucy and the Queen" finds her angling in London for a way to meet the Royal Family after Ricky is invited to say hello at the Palladium. From there, Lucy creates chaos in Scotland (this episode includes a memorable dream sequence in which Ricky appears as Scotty MacTavish MacDougal MacCardo), Paris (where she and Ethel plot to meet guest star and good sport Charles Boyer at an outdoor café), Rome (the outstanding "Lucy's Italian Movie" finds her dispatched to a vineyard, where she has to crush grapes--brilliantly--with her feet). Lots of special features, including a behind-the-scenes peek and bloopers. --Tom Keogh |

Prison Break: Season Three List Price: $49.98 Sale Price: $13.99 |
|
After focusing on the breakout (season one) and the manhunt (season two), season three of Prison Break turns the concept on its head by throwing everyone involved with the show so far--fugitives, lawmen, villains--into the same prison. When we left off in season two's finale, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) had been exonerated of the murder for which he was framed since the beginning of the series, but Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) landed himself behind bars during the escape in Panama. It's no coincidence that he's placed in SONA, a remote place for the lowliest of criminals, along with his pursuers Agent Mahone (William Fichtner) and Bellick (Wade Willams), and fellow former inmate Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell (Robert Kneppner), who naturally cozies up to the crime lord who rules the prison in an effort to move up in the ranks. The main premise of Prison Break this time around is Michael needing to break someone else out of prison for The Company, the crime network responsible for all nefarious doings on the show. The Company's rep is a homicidal, sneering assassin named Susan (sometimes Gretchen) (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), who's holding hostage both Lincoln's son LJ and Michael's love Sara until Michael carries out his mission. The typically false starts, double-crossings, and man-that-was-close moments you'd expect to come from a series like this are all there, but this time around episodes feel scattershot, a far cry from the white-knuckle tension builder that was season one. Fichtner, who joined in the second season, is a standout as a pill-popping agent-turned-inmate in withdrawal who must now collaborate with the man he chased across the country. The new characters introduced don't have much purpose; the many plot twists (he's a good guy... no, a bad guy... no, wait, a good guy) leave you a little less motivated each time to keep tuning in, and the final straw is one main character's death early in the season (reportedly because of a contract dispute between the producers and the actor). Originally planned as a jolt to the series, it instead angered many fans who had been long awaiting a just payoff. This would later be rectified before the fourth season, but there's no telling how many Prison Break fans may have skipped town before then. --Ellen A. The SunL SLA 115 ATV is just like any other clone machines that you find out there in the market. If you're familiar with ATVs, you'll know that it's one of the best clones of the Honda machines. Most SunL ATVs do not need you to mix the oil and gas (what a mess that process is, we all know that) but most SunL ATVs come in single speed automatic transmission...which simply means a pump and go system. For an ATV enthusiast like me and you, that's just FAB news!!
Many beginner ATV enthusiast figured that they didn't want to spend a single cent on a SunL ATV because they weren't Kazumas or Polaris or Hondas. But here's where the truth is. If you're on a budget, SunL ATVs is a good choice to get your started. In fact, if we may add our two cents worth...SunL ATVs are sometimes better than some of the mid-range ATVs produced by local or popular ATV manufacturers. Of course, although there's much to be desired in the power front but for beginners or intermediate ATV riders, SunL ATVs will ride just fine. Oh...and one of the things we noticed about As we tested out one SunL ATV, we noticed that their brakes are top notch! The disc brake is great for stopping and there is even a throttle limiter just in case you decide to let your teen have a go at it! And besides, even if they conk out on you, getting a SunL ATV part is easy now...what with the wide distribution channel.
If we had to name one ATV that is designed for beginners, kids and novice ATV riders alike, the SunL would have to be it. You know kids get a little tangled up when they're on their ATVs and when kids are on it, count on the parts coming apart quicker than if an adult rode it for years. Kids can be rough - don't be fooled by their sizes. Everything from the remote control that allows you to remotely stop and start the SunL ATV to the tiny little wires contained within the engine are completely available from many SunL ATV part distributor, retailer or dealer. The remote control that comes with SunL ATV is one of the parts that is hardest to replace but if you contact the retailer of your SunL AV=TV directly, they shouldbe able to get you a replacement with no problem at all. But to prevent the problem of having to search high and low to find a replacement for the SunL ATV part, use the remote control with caution and keep it away from the kids. And since we're on the topic, keep a healthy supply of batteries with you as well.

1968 Chevy Camaro Disc Brake Swap Part 1
What better way to get your Muscle Car to stop than with a set of disc brakes.
Lets Get This is Thing To Stop!
Our project car this time is a Classic Muscle Car: The 1968 Chevy Camaro. Although some came through with factory front disc brakes, our car was originially
a six cylinder converted into a V8 and unfortunately a four wheel drum car, but dont let this bother you. its really no big deal.
How Much You Spend Dictates How Well You Stop!
As much as we preach about not having to spend tons of money on your Muscle Car, brakes is one area where you can really spend some dough. But you do
not have to over spend to see an improvement. As usual, we always rely on proper planning and research to determine what fits our needs.
Good, Better, Best?
We chose one of the cheaper disc brake conversions from SSBC. The kit comes with everything from drums, pads, seals, bearings and even chrome bearing caps!
For around $1000, you get everything short of grease and a rear axle seal and oil. The next step up we found is a good system from Wilwood. Then theres Brembo
brakes. Big money, big stopping power. Usually for big horsepower cars. This set up was not for our budget, but nonetheless is pretty sweet.
Lets Get Started
As always, get the car safely jacked up and use safety stands...always!. With the front wheels off, front brakes disassembly is easy. Take off the bearing cap, remove
cotter pin, unscrew main nut and the the drum comes off. Undo the brake line from the wheel cylinder, and then unbolt the steering arm. At this point,
great care must be taken since you need to unbolt the spindle from the control arms. We used a jack to take the pressure off of the springs as we
unbolted everything. With everything unbolted, we lowered the jack to release tension, and poof, its all apart. Its that easy!
Prep The Front Carefully
We needed to reuse our steering arm from the old drum set up, so we cleaned them up, painted them and reinstalled them onto our
new disc brake spindles. Replace the spindles in reverse order of removing them. With spindles on, now you can pack your bearings,
install your seals, and bolt on your rotor. Now, attach the caliper bracket to the spindle and attach the new caliper to the bracket. You
will also have to change your flexible hydraulic line to fit the new caliper. And thats all it is!
Continue to follow this 2 part series blog as we will tackle the rear brakes and new master cylinder and proportioning valve next time

Changed brake pads and disks, brakes still squeak HELP!?
I have reciently changed the brake discs, cleaned the area with brake cleaner, and installed new brake pads, set the brake pads as instructed in the Haynes guide, however, my new brakes still squeak, did i miss a step? or is there some tip that anyone has? Any info is appreciated...
Brand new rotors and brake pads
Did you usse brake lube?? You have to use a brake lube on: caliper slides, pad backings where thay contact caliper, and between the rotor and hub assembly. Any brake parts that contact each other need lube, whick dampens vibration and get rid of your squeal. Plus theres bound to be lots of dust from the new pads wearing in so blow em out or hose em off with water. Any auto parts store will have brake lube, ask for the copper kind if they have it.
