Since we tend to spend so much time at our jobs it is very acceptable to get used to all of the people that work with us. Corporations support teamwork and are not particularly happy with individualism as it tends to only get in the way of the people at the top. The fact that we spend a lot of time someone creates a certain type of bond between the two, but is that real friendship? Are true friends really usually from your workplace are might you be overlooking something? Is it healthy in the long run to create deep friendships within your job? I will try to address all of those issues below.
First we have to break down why we have friends in the first place and what is the difference between a regular and a true friend. Since humans are social creatures we like to be around people that have similar beliefs and think in the same way that we do. You might have noticed that as your interests change or evolve so does your circle of friends. In cases that it does not, those acquaintances you might feel are holding you back or you are ashamed of in front of your new buddies. The difference between a regular friend and a true friend is that they will not fall out from your circle even as you evolve and there is a deeper bond between the two of you. It is a person that you can share personal things with, and even though you two might get into arguments after a while always patch things up one way or another.
When we talk about people in the same industry, we also have to differentiate between the same company as opposed to the entire field of work. True friends from work are hard to come by since usually everyone is in competition with each other and once the person leaves the company things often go downhill in the friendship department. The first few weeks or months you will continue to talk, but after a while there just won't be anything else left to speak about as one of the people is not current with the drama of the workplace. It is good to cultivate connections in the same industry as you might want to get another and better job but it is similar to the workplace as there is a certain level of competition and when one person leaves the industry things will probably go sour.
It is best to look at all people from a different perspective and only become friends with the ones you feel something else in common with. You should be friendly with your co-workers and can hang out with them but in order to develop a true friendship make sure that you have something else to talk about other than work. If it is only the job or the industry holding you together than this is walking on shaky ground and I would not consider those people as true friends.

Back in the day his show was great but ever since he got that annoying little punk Tom Looney his show went down hill because looney interupts him every 5 second with his opinion and the show evolved into a popculture and politics mixed with sports show.What do you think of my opinion and whats your opionion?
I HATE JT the Brick. (or as I like to call him, JT the Pr*ck)
JT never lets the callers voice in their opinions; and he disparages anyone who has different views than him. He's so frickin biased its not even funny. The guy is a legend in his own mind.
As for Tom Looney, I could give care less about him. He's just a turtle-neck wearing "yes man" who just sits there and keeps JT levelheaded.
Overall, I hate the show.
