The frame is pretty lite and I want to change the forks to lite weight ridged composite mtb forks for better handling, I also want to change the mtb transmission to triple road bike setup 52/40/30,11/26 and change the tyres to slicks also there's other areas of the bike I want to lighten like seat post, stem and handle bar. When I finish this I reckon it will be awesome mountain bike what will keep up with the roadies. So what do you think?.
Its a hardtrails mountain bike, converting a full suspension mountain bike would be a total waste of time and money.
I don't think it's a very sound idea. Carbon fork, changing the drive train etc... might as well sell it and buy a road bike. After a lot of $$$ your still going to have MTB frame and a bunch of parts stashed in your garage. Do you realize the cost of buying STI road shifters alone?
