All the Mavic wheels have great reputations. They are top-notch pro-level equipment. But, they don't show up at the discounters very much.
There are plenty of good light/fast wheels out there at lower price points. I bought a pair from Neuvation, have raced them 15+ times this year plus lots of training rides, and they've held up great and are super-fast. Btw, I weigh 190 so I'm no lightweight.
