If you are in the market for a new bike, you have your work cut out for you. Selecting just the right bicycle can be a difficult decision. With the plethora of brands, sizes, and styles, how can you be sure you will find the right bike to suit your needs?
First, determine who will be riding the bicycle. With the purchase of a bike, size matters. For adults, you may want to select a bicycle that fits you comfortably based on your height and the size of the seat, for example. Children, in particular, are more susceptible to assorted size requirements. A bicycle that is too small will be uncomfortable. Selecting a bike that is too large, may allow room for growth, but lack of control will be an issue.
Another consideration when purchasing a bicycle is to think about the particular uses for the new bike. Will this bike be ridden in sports competitions or simply for recreation around the neighborhood? The answer will provide insight into the specific bike you will need to purchase. This will help you to narrow your search for the perfect bike.
Price range is important. The cost of a bicycle can range dramatically. Set a price range for your purchase and stick to it.
Quality is another factor when choosing your bike. You not only want a good price, but excellent quality. Durability is important. A bike that will show wear after the first trip around the block or from a single jump would not be the best bike to purchase. Consider buying a strong and lightweight bike that will last for years to come.
Take a look at reviews online about your prospective bicycle choices. Ask friends and relatives about their experiences with such brands and styles. Tapping into this knowledge base will give you further insight into your new bicycle purchase.
Safety is of utmost importance. Take a look at the safety features equipped on your potential bike. Are there plenty of adequate features such as padding and strong bolts?
The look of the bike is undoubtedly a major factor in the purchase of a new bicycle. You want your new ride to show off your personality and style. Although you can add specific customization to your bike, you want to make sure that it fits your personality. Do you like the style of the bike? What about the color? If the look of the bike does not please you, but the other features meet your specifications, it is advisable to hold off on the purchase. Wait until you locate the bike that matches your attitude. You will be much happier with such a purchase.
Despite the overwhelming number of bicycle varieties, styles, and price range, it is possible to find just the right bicycle for your next purchase. Keeping in mind factors such as size, weight, and durability, you should have no problem finding just what you are looking for in a bicycle. Considering reviews will also help you to make a decision. Finally, decide on the bike that matches your style and personality. Following these guidelines will help to ensure your satisfaction with the purchase.

A Look at the Basic Structure of the Bmx Bicycles
As the BMX is a sport in which the bicycle have to face lots of shocks and strains these bicycle have to be specially designed. As the BMX is divided into two types as the free style and racer both these types have their own special bicycles. As in the racing the bicycle has to bear slightly less harsh conditions, they are not as strong as the free style bicycles. On the other hand, the free style bicycles are very strong and heavier.
In the races, the bicycles are light in weight so that they racer is able to gain more speed. However, in this too the bicycle has to bear some amount strain as they are sufficiently stronger. They have knobby type of tires. However, as in this sport the rider may find the need of applying breaks abruptly they have very good and quick rear breaks.
On the other hand, the free style bicycles are heavier in weight, and thus they are stronger and also they bear sufficiently stronger loads.
The frames of the bicycles are made from the aluminum or some of its alloy. The advantage of using this metal is that the bicycles are light in weight having good strength and also they are rust proof. They have the necessary thickness as per the requirements.
The lightness of the bicycles also will affect its price. The more lighter the frame, the costlier the bicycle.
As the rider has to bear the different types of stresses during the riding the shape of these bicycle are properly planned. The maximum resistance is provided by the air and therefore for avoiding they have such a shape that the rider can sit in proper position for avoiding it.
The wheels i.e. the tires of these bicycles are about 20 inches in diameter. In this the cruiser types has broader tires of 25 inches. According to the type of the BMX racing these bicycles have different types of tires. Therefore it is important that you should consider the type before purchasing the bicycle.
The handlebars feature the upright bars, small saddle bars, and longer cranks. The breaks are present in the rear region of the handle. All these bars have good padding around them. This provides good comfort while riding these bicycles.
The breaks work on the vertical pulling mechanism, which provides a very good and immediate haut to the bicycle. In addition to this these breaks also provide you the flexibility to stop immediately or just to slower down the speed. For this you have to either manner pull them i.e. harder for immediate breaks and lightly for reducing the speed of the bicycle.
The seats for these bicycles are soft as the normal bicycles. However in addition to this, as in this sport there is a danger of the rider falling off the bicycle during the jumping, they have extra support for the rider.
The paddles the rollers the chains etc are all smoother than the normal bicycles. This is very important as it saves the energy and time during race.

I'm thinking of buying this bmx bike for use on the dirt at my neighborhood park so for begginer to intermediate level do you think the bike is reasonably good and if so how much should i pay for the price varies for 250 -350 us dollars so thanks

Im guessing the bike you where looking at was the Kink Launch? Anyway, from the specs you have provided that seems like a reasonable bike at the price, but personally i feel that if you can spend a little more, the biggest upgrade you could give yourself would be the 100% 1020 Hi-Ten Steel Frame. If you can afford a bike with a 4130 cromoly frame and fork, thats going to make your bike alot stronger and lighter. If your using the bike for dirt go with a longer tt (top tube length). From the specs you bike is going to have a 20" tt, the longer it is the more stable you bike will be in the air on dirt jumps, and you will have more control over your bike, but whichever tt lengthed bike you buy you will get used to it anyway.
Editor's notebook / Pain is my pleasure
Ask any avid cyclist and they'll tell you that my biggest mistake was not wearing biker shorts. For those unfamiliar with the intricacies of the sport, the highly-padded athletic apparel makes bearable for your bottom side long-distance bicycle rides.
