Put an End to Nighttime Snacking!
Almost everyone has been a victim of nighttime snacking. Some of us are driven by tasty television commercials, while others are driven by emotions or pure hunger. However, no matter what the reason may be, eating late at night can take its toll on your health and on your waistline. Not only does your metabolism slow down at night but the foods we consume during these late night hours are typically laden with calories. So what can we do in order to reduce our cravings in the midst of a late night movie?
Unless you want to increase your pant size, nighttime munchies should be eliminated from your daily diet. Not even the best diet pills can help you if you eat unhealthy late at night. That is why it is important to learn to control this awful eating habit. One of the best ways to avoid nighttime munchies is to avoid cable programming in the evening hours. It is usually the advertisements on television which drive us to the kitchen. That is why it is far better to read a book, play a board game with the kids, or even watch a commercial free DVD. And if you simply cannot miss your favorite TV show on cable, you should at least make sure to keep yourself occupied during the commercial brakes. You can engage in some light housework, do a couple of exercises, or even have a magazine handy. Simply turning down the volume during television advertisements can make a big difference, because let’s face it, you may not be hungry but the delicious chocolate treat on TV can turn your stomach into a gurgling one.
Another way to avoid nighttime munchies is to curb your appetite. Some people use all natural hoodia pills to suppress their appetite, while others incorporate more fiber rich foods into their diet. So when you feel a craving coming on, instead of grabbing a bag of chips make yourself a salad or reach for a fiber rich apple. These are just a few tips to help you stay away from your kitchen cabinets late at night.

I feel like I'm just running in place. I get some item crossed off my to-do list & the next thing I know...
I have to do something else with it; like I get the brakes fixed & the car runs for 10 days & now needs something else fixed, or I think I'm done with the f-ing ebay selling (I'll never do that again!) and I get a damaged item report (I don't see how, it was wrapped, placed in foam in a box with stuffing in another box), I finally get rid of stuff & poof, more stuff to store, sell, give away or whatever, I clean & it's dirty again, computer,tv,sound sys get set up & I have to fiddle w/cables, venting, more cabling, etc. I feel like I never make any progress in life/living. I feel like I exist just to exist. Any help I get just leaves me w/some other (related) thing to do. I just feel like "what's it all for" & why the hell isn't easier for me? Other people don't seem to be having this much trouble, things seem to get done right the 1st time for them. It's just one dammed thing after another around here & I don't make progress.
Should I just take a pill & go back to bed!?
Well, I don't know if this helps, but you're not the only one. I feel like I have my to-do list and it never gets done either. BUT you can't let that consume you or get you overly frustrated. I mean sometimes, you can't help it, but you've got to try and do fun things as well. Things for yourself that don't have anything to do with your list. What I've also done is try to see what how much could be involved in doing one thing and not cross it off my list till it's absolutely done. I hope things work out better for you soon.
