Initially bicycle sunglasses had very unsubtle designs, with colored big frames; but over the years they have become much more stylish as well as comfortable to wear off bikes too.
So that nobody sees you when long climbs are suffered, you can make use of the very reflective dark glasses which come in different colors. For different conditions the lenses can be changed, for example to enhance visibility in dull light you can use yellow, for the dark use clear lenses and there are many choices of reflective glasses for bright sunlight. While cycling, flies and dust need to be kept out of your eyes. You can even look cool in a pair of prescription glasses fitted to favorite frames of your choice. Whether you simply like to ride a bicycle, or you are a motorcyclist, it is very advantageous to own a pair of cycling sunglasses.
Provides ultimate protection:
From the harmful rays of the sun, you can have your eyes protected and wind, dust as well as dirt can be kept off with the help of the right sunglasses. It is out of necessity that bikers with eye sensitivity or those wearing contact lenses have to compulsorily wear eyewear. Normal prescription sunglasses can also be typically worn as cycling sunglasses by motorcyclists and cyclists. Besides these, helmets and goggles are also worn.
To fit and accentuate your face the shape of the frame is equally important or else you would end up looking as if bestowed with big white eyes or a panda like face. Sunglasses should not cover the entire face. They are less likely to fall off when cycling as they have adjustable nose pieces and legs to make them more comfortable. Regular wrap around eyewear is also able to give an equally good performance, even if the price of designer variants is very high.
To pick from each designer you have a wide selection of frames and lenses. While riding, debris striking the glasses should not be a major concern, since majority of the sunglasses are shatter resistant and plastic. Specifically for biking and cycling, bicycle sunglasses help to experience clear, crisp vision with genuine polarized lenses. The eyewear is an important part of the gear that you have to invest in and maintain. The investment is a long term one but you can indulge in replicas too that allows you to change your style more often!

Bicycle Helmlets
A bicycle helmet is a bicyclist’s last defense against traumatic brain injury, cranial fractures, and even death. Bicycle helmets are vitally important pieces of equipment for learning bikers all the way to professional cyclists. No matter what your skill level; accidents are bound to occur. For those bicyclists unprepared to deal with these accidents through proper safety protection, such as bicycle helmets, the results could be life altering if not life ending.
Bicycle helmets are basic in the manufacturing process, but there purpose is to protect the complex minds and body systems of their users. The shell of a helmet is designed to protect the cranium and brain of bike riders in the event of a collision, accident, fall, or crash. The shell of bicycle helmets is usually made from a form of fibers interwoven with resins. Other forms of helmets utilize lightweight metals, alloys, plastics, or forms of fiberglass. Almost all versions of helmets contain foam inserts on the inside of the shell. These spongy foam inserts serve a dual purpose. First manufacturers keep in mind the comfort of the helmet wearer and use foam to pad the helmet during use to prevent uncomfortable abrasions or bruising. The second, and more integral function of the spongy foam inserts, is to conform the hard shell of the bicycle helmets to head of the users. The users then experience better coverage of their cranial areas and are less likely to suffer jolting or movement of the helmet in the event of a crash, collision, or fall.
Besides the basic shell of the helmet, several important attachments aid in the protection when using bicycle helmets. Bicycle helmets usually include a chinstrap. Chinstraps are pieces of cloth or leather that attach the shell of bicycle helmets to an individual’s head securely using a clasp at the bottom of their chin. Chinstraps prevent bicycle helmets from flying off a rider’s head in the event of quick head movements or a fall from the bike. Besides chinstraps, several other accouterments to bicycle helmets protect the safety of bikers and other pedestrians, bikers, and drivers. Side-attachments to the bicycle helmets sometimes include rearview mirrors. Rearview mirrors are especially important for riders that frequent busy roadways or paths. These safety features not only protect the rider, but car drivers and other people as well. Another device added to bicycle helmets to improve their vision is a visor. When biking outdoors, the sun tends to blind bikers at some points in the day. A visor significantly reduces the risk of temporary blindness and loss of control in these situations.
Overall, any person riding a bike is heavily recommended to utilize a bicycle helmet. Helmets definitely save lives, and one day, a helmet could save yours as well. Injuries such as cranial fractures, concussions, traumatic brain injury, and brain hemorrhaging will undoubtedly bring an end to an easy Sunday bike ride, but this does not need to be the case if riders always choose to wear their bicycle helmets.

Ever taken a bicycle tour?
Where to? What kind of bike? I did a solo ride on a full-suspension Gary Fisher Sugar from Minneapolis to San Fran. Took the high route through MN,SD,ND,MT,ID, and into WA. Then I followed 101 down the coastline to CA, where I followed hwy 1 to San Fran. Rather unorthodox set-up; I zip-tied a plastic milk crate to a seat-post rack and crammed it full of camp gear. I had a small pannier hanging off either side of the crate. Just looking for people to share their routes, set-ups, and experiences........
I've done bike touring and most of them one, two, or four day tours. Two panniers, and a trailer is all I use. I also sell bike touring trips and I can recommend places for you start investigating bike touring as well. The best choices are Adventure Cycling Association, Crazyguyonabike.com, Bike touring 101, Bike Touring, WarmShowers.org, and my favorite "Gordon's Guide" which I will send you a link to it.
