Pressure Monitor Caps

Have you ever wondered why our solar system is flat. Except of course for comets and a few asteroids, all of our major planets orbit on the same plane, within a few degrees. I have often wondered about this and have searched for possible causes with no results until the first of this year (2008).

Besides our dog driving us crazy all day and all of a sudden being afraid to go outdoors, something else strange happen. I had been watching images from the SOHO satellite for comets, when the images stopped around 9:32 AM UT (Universal Time), on the 5th of January. The last c2 camera image was at 9:32 and the last c3 camera image was at 8:42 AM. I assumed that is was a problem with the web site and continued to check back during the next two days.

I also looked at some of the other satellite data and noticed something strange, I do not understand the data that is being shown but I can see that something did change on the morning of January 5th. The Proton Monitor (PM) is one of the scientific sensors on the SOHO spacecraft and on that morning it registered a sudden increase in the energy coming from the sun.

Everything returned to normal after about three days and all of the SOHO images were there, so it must have just been a glitch with the web site.

The Proton Monitor (PM) is a sub-sensor of the MTOF instrument, which is one of the 3 time- of-flight instruments comprising the CELIAS experiment on the SOHO spacecraft. MTOF determines high resolution mass spectra of heavy solar wind ions and uses a very wide bandwidth energy-per-charge analyzer to maximize counting statistics.

What looks like occurred was an interplanetary shock. The most recent shocks occurred on December 17th, October 25th, and September 27th 2007. These are most likely due to solar flares.

In 2004 NASA reported the largest shock ever recorded:

Earth's Safe Zone Became Hot Zone During Legendary Solar Storms 12.15.04. The beauty of science is that nothing is for certain. There are times when scientists think they have something figured out and then nature throws them for a loop. Just such an event happened last fall when the Sun erupted in some massive, record-shattering explosions that hurled billion of tons of electrified gas toward Earth.

All of this technical information got me looking at information from other satellites and one report that caught my attention from the Ulysses Solar Spacecraft. Ulysses was placed in a polar orbit around the Sun, perpendicular to the orbit of the planets.

The following has been taken from:

ULYSSES STATUS REPORTS

by R.G. Marsden,

Ulysses Project Scientist, ESA

Science Highlights

Interstellar dust, which enters the heliosphere with the same velocity as neutral interstellar gas, was detected first by Ulysses. The incoming flux is expected to remain constant but, once inside the heliosphere, the dust particles are subject to forces exerted by the sun's gravitational field, solar radiation pressure and, since the dust is electrically charged, the heliospheric magnetic field (HMF). Gravity and radiation pressure affect the more massive grains, but the motion of low-mass interstellar dust is dominated by the magnetic force.

Theory indicates that changes in the HMF causes a solar cycle variation in the dust distribution. The dust is deflected toward higher latitudes (defocused) when the polar cap field is outward in the north hemisphere and the dust is deflected equator-ward (focused), when the north polarity is inward.

What all this lead me to conclude was that over time as interstellar dust collected around the Sun, the larger more massive grains with metal content gathered in orbits around the Sun's equator. Less dense material that formed comets remained in random orbits.

Now I am wondering why all of the orbits are in the same direction?

If you look at the moon and all the craters, or at the shooting stars at night, you began to realize that there is a material flying around in space. The more I learn the more interesting it becomes, I even hope someday to purchase a telescope!

Swing Trading...Less Pressure Than a Day But Big Rewards

Between Day Trade and Trends

If you are not a day trader or long term investor, you are a swing trader. It usually means you are holding on to a stock for at least a few days, but not more than a few weeks. Swing trading is traditionally considered a low risk venture, especially for those
who trade the large cap stocks. But is there really such things as low risk in these volatile times? Of course you can always just keep shorting the market. I think that can be the most risky in our current atmosphere. Some experts will tell you that swing
trading only works in a stable market, where the prices don’t  fluctuate. I think most regular folk always saw the market as a playground for the big cats. That was until the influx  of trading companies to the internet. So how much investment  capital should you have? To quote the investment companies disclosure, and I’m paraphrasing; “never invest more than you have to lose.” It is like gambling, make no mistake about it. However instead of just rolling the dice, putting your chips all on lucky #7, or hopelessly watching the little pea spin around, you can learn what is the equivalent of counting cards.

Before we go any further, I would first like to determine that you are indeed researching swing, and not day trading. All part time traders are swing traders, because you simply can’t monitor an asset that you might want to transact at any second, on a part time basis. These rebels of tradition are literally traders, rather than investors, but can reap huge rewards in a relatively short period of time. This is the itinerary of a day trader. If you can’t commit or don’t have the time to pursue this strategy properly, I suggest you do indeed look into swing trading. Please don’t misunderstand me, swing trading can be a full time job as well, and for thousands it is. You just can’t do day trading part time.

Make no mistake however, in both strategies as with anything connected with investments, you had better be knowledgeable. Always have an exit plan or stop loss in place and it is essential that you have an excellent technical charting platform.

Knowledge and Training Lead to Confidence
Confidence Leads to Profit
Let us assume that you have some knowledge or you wouldn’t be researching the market. Any training you receive should be for technical analysis, or you are just wasting time and money. As far as software platforms, the following suggestions I strongly feel are necessary for any software to be useful.

1. It must be able to offer live streaming technical data.    (Otherwise the program is merely educational)
2. The platform should defiantly include candlestick charting.
3. Visually it has to be large enough for all the data to be seen easily. (Many of the online brokerage’s technical data are too small to be useful)
4. It must be cost effective. (Most good systems can be purchased for between one and two hundred dollars)

Let the Candles Light Your Way
Include Candlestick Charting for Even Greater Profits

For those of you not yet familiar with candlestick charting, I will
try to give a brief but accurate explanation.  The Chinese invented the market concept, and the Japanese perfected charting techniques with the use of the candlesticks. It is easy to understand this complex system, if we simply break it down to the ticks on the chart you follow every day. We know that the lower tick is where the stock opened and the higher is where it closed. Now if we made the two lines parallel and connected them, what would we have? A candle. However, during that movement, the stock might have gone lower or higher then where it opened or closed, So our candle has formed a tail and a wick. Is it starting to make a little sense to you? Can you see the advantage of knowing this information, for getting in and out, and setting a stop loss?

I don’t profess to being an expert, but I do know of some. I obviously don’t have the time to go into all the details now, but at my site  Market Mentalist you will find all you need to know about investing online. There is access to some of the top trading systems available including software, books, newsletters, and Forums. Whether you are an inquisitive novice or a seasoned pro Market Mentalist offers the online investment resource you just might be seeking.

How do I fix my Malibu?

My brake light keeps coming on my 2009 Malibu LT This also turns off the cruise control if engaged.slightly applying pressure to the brake peddle turns off light for a little while.Vehicle also has the following issues. The Remote unit stopped working during a blizzard when the Battery Got low from vehicle sitting for too long, at the same time (I thought) the tire pressure system monitoring stopped working. ( I have since found that I am missing a Tire Valve cap. How do you reprogram after replacing that?) The vehicle has 46000 miles on it nearly all of them Beltway traffic miles of about 500 weekly. Maybe the brakes are going bad but I have not heard any indications. any Ideas?

sounds like the brake pedal is sticking slightly. and when it sticks its gonna turn the cruise off, just like if u tap the brake while its on. dif sounds like a sticking pedal. next time you see the lights on, try pulling up on the pedal and see if they go off. if so u found the problem. good luck.

Sweeping reform, but not for Freddie, Fannie
The new overhaul of financial regulations has a gigantic hole: Mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will continue to bleed billions of taxpayer dollars.
