The Mountain Buggy stroller is a heavy-duty brand of strollers made in New Zealand since 1992. They are specifically designed for outdoor use and are ideal for strolling on the beach or over rocky trails.
The Mountain Buggy Urban double is far and away the most popular Mountain Buggy stroller. It features two front swivel wheels which makes it very manuverable, individually reclining seats, and a one year warranty.
The main selling point for all mountain buggy strollers is durability and the quality of materials. You can expect this stroller to outlast your children's early years and you will be able to resell it or pass it along to a family member. The best kept secret however, is that most Mountain Buggy Strollers can be adapted to accommodate infants. This feature (sold separately) is called a 'Carry Cot system'. The seat in the stroller is replaced by a bassinet (cot) with handles. Since the bassinet allows the infant to lie flat, you can easily stroll with newborns. After strolling, you simply lift out the bassinet without disturbing your sleeping child!
Mountain Buggy strollers also feature padded bench style seats (as opposed to the 'sling-style' seats found in true jogging strollers). This works best for most toddlers who prefer to sit up straight and look around while strolling. (To be fair, this works for Mountain Buggy strollers because they are not intended for jogging!)
Mountain Buggy also provides quite a number of accessories for it's strollers. These items are sold separately and include bedding, handlebar extensions, attachable handbrakes, child bumper bar, and the car seat adaptor. Some may argue that handbrakes and appropriate handlebar heights should be standard on an expensive stroller.
The complaints that you'll hear about a Mountain Buggy stroller relate to canopy, size, and price. The canopies are not as well built as the other components and do not extend far enough to give good coverage from early morning or late afternoon sun. The canopy also does not stay locked in the retracted position but tends fall down when the stroller goes over bumps. The rugged construction also leads to size and weight issues. While most models have quick release wheels, they are still very bulky when folded, and do not fit easily into the trunks of small cars.
You can expect to pay over $400 for a Mountain Buggy single stroller and more than $650 for a double stroller. Alternative strollers in this price range include the top of the line models of the very best brands including the Chariot Carrier CX series, Baby Jogger City Series, and the Bob Revolution.
If you have the money on hand and spend lots of time outdoors, a good choice for you may be a Mountain Buggy stroller.

Taking the aches and pains out of riding your BMW K Series motorcycle
Most of the aches and pains coming from riding is from not being really comfortable on your bike.
While this can come from a variety of reasons the main one is from handlebar position. This is not always that obvious because riders tend to adjust their sitting position to the bike whereas the correct thing to do is adjust the bike to your body.
Bikes are all the same
Bikes are all made the same at the factory and bodies are all different so of course there is a mismatch in many cases. Unless you happen to be the prefect fit for your bike then you will never be able to find the perfect riding position for ache free riding.
Try This Test
One way to discover if you and your bike are properly matched is to sit on your machine and close your eyes. Then with eyes still closed reach out for the handlebars and stop when you think this is where the bars should be and open your eyes. Notice where your hands are and where the bars are. You might have to do this a few times to get the idea of it. What you are testing for is to find if the bars are where they should be for you. Not where the bars are for the bike.
If you find that you hands are an inch above the bars when you open your eyes then you could well need risers of that amount or about that amount. This is because you have found your natural riding position.
Wrist Angle
While doing this also take careful note of the angle of your wrists to the angle of the bars. Oftentimes you will find your wrists are at a slightly different angle to the bars. This means that you need bars set at a slightly different angle to the originals.
There are a variety of handlebar risers on the market and you should be able to find a set that meets your need if you experiment a bit by using the above test.
BMW K Series Owners
For riders of some of the BMW K series model bikes, Flood makes an adjustable riser that you can fiddle around with to get into just the right position thus saving buying a range of bars until you get it right. Downside is they are only good for models K1200R&S, K1300R&S and R1200S.
These bars are limited in their adjustment though as they only rise about an inch (25mm) although they can be set so they are a bit closer or a bit further away from the rider and no cable or other wiring extensions are needed.
If this doesn't meet your requirements then you need to go to other makers but you will be into more work extending cables and brake lines to get a more rise.
It is amazing sometimes how a very small change in handlebar position can make a huge difference in riding comfort and reduce or eliminate "after the ride" aches and pains.

Handlebars for a H-D Fatboy?
I am interested in opinions for my Harley. I am currently running 18" chubby apehangers with a 1" riser. They are a bit to high for me. I am not sure what would look good
I am considering z bars, baby apes, stock, or buckhorns.
Thanks for answers ahead of time.
Many of the HD dealers now have equipment that can let you feel how bars and seats will feel. I would see if a dealership in your area offers this so you can take some of the guess work out. Bars are easily changed in and out of the "jig" set up and you can see and feel how one set compares against the others
