I am just starting to road bike. Does a CCM Presto 700c road bike from Canadian Tire for $299.99 worth it?
OR, should i go to a bike store and get a bike. The problem is, is that i went earlier and the road bikes there are quite expensive, especially if I want to get a nice one ( around $800-$1000 the cheapest). Also, if i buy a nice bike from the bike stores, I'm scared that it might get stolen because I'm a student and I ride my bike to school continually (15min duration each time). So brands such as FELT, Trek, and Specialized might be a burglary hazard.

A 56cm bike will normally fit someone with a height of about 5'9-6' with an inseam of about 31" or 32" give or take an inch either way. Do you match that description? If not then you need a different size and this one will not work unless they have your size. I recommend that you get sized first but not all brands fit the same....one brands 56cm will be anothers 58cm and on and on... Look for a used bike, maybe a hybrid and not so high end $400 or less and learn how to securely lock your bike to deter theft. There are many things you can do to deter theft and locking your bike up is NOT the ONLY thing you can do. The bike you are looking at is cheap, price and quality, dont expect it to last long but it will get you around for a bit. Dont buy a new bike if you are in college! Whatever you get make sure you register it with your local police or city so if it is stolen you might just get it back....Here in the US we have the Nationalbikeregistry.com, Not sure what you have up there.
