My Vinyl Skipping while playing a track?!?
Hi. I just bought a turntable yesterday. This morning I decided to listen to my Abbey Road record, and the track was FINE, no skipping AT ALL. About 5 hours later, I decided to take out my record and play it again. I listen to the first track multiple of times, and realize there's a SKIP! It's not my turntable, my other tracks are fine, it's just the first track that has a little skip.
Any help is appreciated! (:

You can exchange the record if it's defective. Bad pressings aren't uncommon these days. My friend had to return 2 out of 4 new records he bought lately. If you continue to have problems, your tuntable may have come with a defective stylus, the tonearm may bind a bit or the tracking force might be incorrect.
