Double curtain rods can add a stylish touch to a dull room and classiness to windows. This allows a combination of sheer and solid panels to be utilized. But most homeowners and other residents usually have one curtain rod. This restricts them from thinking of more ideas on how to change the look of their windows. However, if you have double rods, you will surely have countless ideas on upgrading the windows. To make this project more practical, change your single rod into double. In this way, you no longer have to incur additional expense. The main question here is, how to do it. Reading the rest of this article will give you slight idea on how to do it.
Get a curtain rod conversion set. This set has brackets, hardware and a simple curtain rod. Try to pick a color and design that is close to the old single rod that you are using.
Remove your old draperies and the rod from the bracket. Put it on a place where the line will not be wrinkled, stained, worn out or covered by dusts.
Slowly remove the old brackets and hardware. If you see defects on the wall, try using a wall patch compound, sand and paint to get back to its original look. However if it has major damage, and will not be able to hold the brackets and hardware, then you need to change location.
Place the hardware and brackets from the curtain set to wall with the use of lever to make sure that the rod is evenly installed. Read and follow the directions on the set carefully so you will not have a hard time doing it.
Insert the rod inside the curtain. For your curtain, make sure to use the right fabric for your window. Some common fabrics are velvet, sheer and silk. And also pick a cloth that is right, not just for the theme, but also for the weather. For cold season, thick fabrics are in, while for hot weather, light linen is the best.
Window plays an integral part in the overlook of the house. Transforming its look once in awhile is necessary. The enhancements do not have to be expensive. Placing lovely valances or using window clips for accents are great suggestions. As long as you are using double curtain rods, you will not run out of lovely home renovation ideas.

TV Brackets: a New Concern for Installing Today's Tvs
When television first came out, there was no need for any installation. Sets were extremely heavy, oversized, and simply sat on the floor. But today's new models are thin and lightweight, allowing easy installation on any wall in the home. These things are often overlooked by the customer buying the model, and they fail to consider the additional cost of installation and TV brackets. Here are a few things to consider when searching for the perfect TV brackets for your new set:
1. Warranty. If purchasing a new television, it is advisable to also buy an extended warranty. Ask the salesperson exactly what is covered as well as the price. It is important to have a thorough understanding of these things before making your purchase. Sometimes installation is included so you will not have to worry about labor, only the cost of the TV brackets themselves. This can also be helpful if doing your own installation, as you may be able to replace your television from free if it gets damaged in the set-up process.
2. Size. The size of your television is extremely important, as this determines what type of brackets you will be buying. Be sure to measure the space you plan on putting your TV in before you go to make your purchase. The brackets are usually sold according to the size of your television, so once you know the size of the space you are putting it in you will be able to figure all this out.
3. Mobility. Is your new television going to simply lie flat against the wall or will you need to be able to adjust it? There are several ways this can be done. Some people actually have a hole in their wall where the television will sit. The TV brackets mounted inside this hole allow the television to be turned 360 degrees so it can be viewed in one of the rooms at a time. Others have arms which extend out and allow the television to tilt in any direction necessary. This is the most popular, and works really well in open living spaces.
Whatever you decide for your TV brackets, the three considerations listed above are a wonderful starting point. Make sure to address any questions you have to the appropriate salesperson or installer before making your decision. And when doing your own installation, you have the freedom to go to any source and compare prices before purchasing your brackets. Imagine your television in your new space. Don't forget to make all aesthetic considerations like color, design and style as well. Don't buy a silver television for an all-black room. Match your components, and don't forget to consider the furniture, too. Never hesitate to go to many places before making your decision. The purchase and installation of a new television is one of the most important decisions you will make for your home. Make sure that you have a full understanding of the process. There are tons of resources on the internet to help you make an informed decision.

trying to build a fixed gear bike help!?
i just recently bought a vintage takara road bike and i want to switch out the crank to a 160mm length 46 tooth 3/32" Champaign Chainring CNC'd 130mm BCD, Uses 110mm Shimano type square taper bottom bracket ...however i wanted to leave my original bottom bracket on on my bike....will this crank set fit on my bike with the original bottom bracket? help ... i have no clue.
With that information, you'll just have to put the crank on and see if you have clearance with the chainstay. If you don't, then you can either use a longer bottom bracket spindle, a smaller ring, or possibly shift the ring to the big-ring position if it's a double-crank spider. There's a fine relationship with chainline and the positioning of the rear cog, too, so it's really best to just use the proper spindle length that the crank was designed for and go from there. Just slap it on there and see what it looks like and how the chainline is. If you run into troubles or have any questions, post up again.

Brunswick wins U12 tournament
WISCASSET — Coming into Tuesday’s District 4 U12 Cal Ripken Baseball championship game at the Wiscasset Recreation Field, most might have felt that Brunswick and Ararat were going to put on a low-scoring affair, considering that both teams had allowed just four runs in the tournament.
