Michelin Pro 3 Race Tire List Price: $0.00 |
|
When you're buying a new bike, two factors lord over all others: Weight savings and ride quality. Weight is easy to measure, and doing a dollar-per-gram-saved analysis is simple. Ride quality, though, is more of a mystery. The longer we're in the bike industry, the more we know that one person's 'magic carpet ride' is another person's jackhammer. It's rare to find unanimity in how a bike rides -- is too stiff? too soft? New debates start daily here, and they end not because of measurable evidence, but out of exhaustion.Few items can guarantee an improvement in ride quality, but this is indisputably one of them. The Michelin Pro 3 Race in 25c width is identical in every way to our standard 23cm width, except for the fact that it's a fraction wider. More width means more overall volume to the tire. And more volume translates into more shock absorption. When you absolutely, positively need to mellow out the ride quality of your bike, the surefire solution is to install 25c's. Some folks try to buy a better ride quality by dropping $4k on a new frame or $1k on a new set of wheels. Our suggestion? At $120 you can get exactly what you crave.Just like the 23c version of the Pro 3 Race, the 25c has a Silica Energy rubber compound made in a "dual co-extrusion", which along with its 127tpi casing makes it feel as fast as it really is. One added standout quality of the Pro 3 Race is its flat resistance. On the one hand you get their newly-redesigned "High Density Puncture Protection" to resist glass, staples, and other road garbage. But you also get sidewalls that have a proven track record of blowout-resistance.Product FeaturesType: clincherMaterial: dual-compound rubberSize: 700 c x 23 mmBead: foldingFoldable: yesWeight: 200 gRecommended Use: training, racingManufacturer Warranty: |

The Powerful trio which is composed of the Titan full-size pickup, Pathfinder mid-size SUV and the Armada full-size SUV boasts of cutting-edge enhancements and upgrades. This is done to attract more aficionados in and to receive a greater slice of the auto market.

For Armada, the automaker gave it new exterior and interior designs. The powerful trio of the Nissan is set to be delivered this spring.
“The addition of the Titan Long Wheelbase models and the first-ever V8 engine ever offered in the 22-year history of Pathfinder expand the available choices for buyers of these two popular vehicles,” said Larry Dominique, the vice president for Product Planning of the Nissan North America, Inc.
Dominique added, “The extensive makeover of Armada, which has topped J.D. Power and Associates’ APEAL study for the Large SUV class in 2005 and 2006, adds up to an even more attractive, more premium and more complete Armada package for 2008 – one that we think will continue to make Armada stand out in the full-size SUV class.”
The 2008 Nissan Titan is built on the reputation of its predecessors. The pickup is designed for either work or driving adventure. The trucker can choose the new Long Wheelbase (LWB) version and a new Titan PRO-4X model. Now, the truck is offered in four models: XE, SE, PRO-4X and LE. The 2008 Nissan Armada features a new exterior design, a new set of colors, more luxurious amenities and enhanced technology. Best road bike tire for rainy season (Seattle), best tire width?
Hi, I'm a bike newbie commuting to work on a Jamis Eclipse 2003 with 700x23 Michelin Pro Race tires.
The roads are very bad between my house and work, and rainy season is about to begin in Seattle.
Which road bike tires offer the best and safest traction, as well as protection against flats?
What do I have to measure on my bike in order to figure out what larger size tire (25, 28?) I can fit on it?
Thanks for your help.
Vic
OK, so I am looking at the Armadillos. I can't believe they are $60 a piece.
Did you mean Armadillo Elite, Roubaix, or the All-Condition tire?
Specialized Armadillos. End of discussion.
