Horrified, about my brace situation!?
I'm 15, i went to the hospital today as i'd been sent there by my doctor to discuss getting braces. My top teeth stick out so I was thinking he’d advise the fixed “train track” braces and I was pretty worried about that but now I’m wished he’d advised them!
On examining my teeth he told me that I’d need serious surgery on my jaw and that if I wanted “cosmetic” braces i’d have to have a glued retainer. What is this!? I’m so confused; he also said that I’d have to have it for life as whenever I remove the brace my teeth would just go back to how they were before. I’m pretty down about this now, can this be true? Is there no other way!?
It's like zee said, a wire on the back of your teeth, only people with excellent oral hygiene can have it because most people have it on forever, to stop their teeth from moving back.
