We are currently in an obesity epidemic. All over the world, people are getting fatter everyday and even with all the diets on the market it doesn't seem to be changing. That means that something is inherently flawed with our current diets because they just don't seem to be working, in fact they are making us fatter than ever before. So what is so wrong with these fad diets, and why are they so bad for us?
The main reason is that most fad diets fail in the long run is that they are not based on realistic eating patterns. Think about it, who can sustain such a restrictive (and many times boring) selection of foods over the long term. Diets that focus on specific foods such the cabbage soup diet or the cookie diet (since when have cookies ever helped you lose weight?) mean that to stay on the program you are destined to a life full of cabbage soup or whatever the miracle ingredient happens to be. I don't know about you but I think living on cabbage soup for the rest of my life is rather depressing!
Many people do lose weight on these diets in the first few days or weeks but not because of the reasons that they promote, but because most often you are drastically reducing the amount of calories you are eating (which is the real secret to weight loss). However since they are not sustainable as soon as you stop the fad eating you start to put on more weight than you lost in the first place. The reason for this is that many times you are damaging your metabolism while on these strange diets and once you go back to your regular eating pattern your body starts to hold on to those fat and calories like a vice grip scared that you'll starve it again.
They usually don't follow healthy dietary guidelines with the correct balance of fruits, vegetables, meats, wholegrains, dairy and fats either, meaning that many times your body isn't getting the correct amount of the vitamins and nutrients it needs for optimum health. Risking your health on a diet that may or may not work is just crazy.
Fad diets are a temporary fix for quick weight loss - they don't help you learn about healthy eating or dietary changes that fit your lifestyle. They instead encourage yo-yo dieting which is not only bad for your health but your self-esteem as well. The best way to lose weight is to eat a balanced healthy diet of foods that you enjoy and exercising regularly.

Stripped A Screw? Here's How To Get It Out
We have all stripped a screw at one time or another. Most of the time we just leave them in place or do not have a need to take them out. Today we're going to get that pesky screw out. There are a couple of methods for removal.
Before we get into this if you start to strip something just stop and figure out what you are going to do next. Continuing to strip the screw only makes the job tougher. I suggest you switch to a manual screwdriver because you can put more pressure behind it. Also MAKE SURE you are twisting the screw in the right direction which is to the left to loosen (counter-clockwise) usually.
The most common way is to drill off the head of the screw. This is common because most people don't have a screw removal tool sitting around the house. You can do this method by getting a power drill and a bit that is about 1/3rd the size of the head. Carefully drill into the head of the screw until you reach the shank (The part that actually drills into the surface). Now you want to get a bit that is a bit larger and do the same as before. You want to keep doing this till the head of the screw is gone. Try to leave a small amount of the shank sticking out so that you can grab it with some vice grips. Now you can slowly twist the screw till it is out.
Another method is a screw removal tool. You will probably have to go to a hardware store and get one of these. A removal tool is basically a screwdriver or bit that has rough metal threads right on the tip of it. These threads dig into the head of the screw until it gets stuck giving you enough torque to twist it out. This is probably the easiest and cleanest method of removal.
If you can't do either of these then you can try to use a different screwdriver. Go to a bigger head and while pushing hard slowly try to turn the screw out. if it is a stripped Philips head (Star) then you could also try using a square driver because the edges may grip a stripped screw.
I hope this helps you get the job done and if you get a chance then come visit us at http://www.shopkeylesslocks.com

My oil plug is stripped and just keeps spinning in the oil pan. I cant get it out. Any Tips?
I tried pulling it out with vice grips but the dam thing just keeps spinning in the socket. Money is very tight and Im lacking mechanical brains. I just need to get the plug out and put in a self tapping 1.
that sounds like a bad situation as it sounds like the nut welded inside the pan has come un-welded and won't let the oil plug come out, you are going to have to take the oil pan off and either get a new one or have that one fixed, sorry.
