Your asking for trouble.
26" mountain bike wheels are smaller shorter than 700c road wheels. 29" wheels are the same height as 700c wheels.
You can get rigid forks that allow wider tires than standard road forks allow. This is your best chance at approximating the same rake/trail in the stock fork. Installing a suspension fork is asking for all kinds of handling issues.
